Crafternoon Tea Parties - Sewing and Afternoon Tea
With sewing teacher Jo Johnston of French Knots Craft Studio in Sale, we’ve developed our own concept for a relaxing and fun afternoon event for groups, the Crafternoon Tea Party. In a nutshell, it’s sewing followed by afternoon tea, and it can take place at home or in a suitable outside venue (we’re happy to book for you or recommend some options for larger parties).
We’ve held some incredibly successful Crafternoon Tea Parties for all sorts of occasions including special birthdays and hen parties.
Jo has an incredible collection of vintage fabrics and embellishments with which she teaches the group to make items such as button brooches, crochet necklaces, lace garters (ooh-er!), bunting strings, little fabric birds, the list is endless. All the lessons are suitable for beginners or more experience sewers and Jo is there to teach and help.
A party normally takes around 2 ½ hours, with 1-1 ½ hours for the sewing and around an hour for a relaxed afternoon tea.
We’ve also designed a fabulous full-day party, with vintage makeovers (hair and make-up) and a Charleston lesson thrown in.
